blog post the second: B29
I came to Baruch with the mindset that I’m sure many of you had – excited, anxious, and eager. The first days of college were a mix of emotions ranging from being optimistic and forward looking to understandably, missing the many memories and friends from high school. It was the beginning of a transitional period in our lives. No longer are we children, who look forward to the days that we become adults. That day is here. We are at the start of the journey into adulthood, where we can make our mark in the world. And, we are starting that journey together. Block 29. In these past months, we have conquered a lot – the start of college, midterms, debilitating polisci and English papers, and even making new friends. Back in August, the term Block 29 meant little to me, just my schedule of classes. Today, however, B29 means so much more. The people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had have been wonderful. As we move on with our college education, I will never forget the group of people whom I started it with. And though we may go our separate ways after this semester, never lose sight that we started this journey together. B29 forever!

Hello Bearcats, and a very special shout out to B29! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying college so far. I know I am – Baruch is awesome!
I compiled a short playlist of the songs that d0 not necessarily best represent me, rather, this playlist is only a few of the songs I find myself navigating to quite often on my iPod. Sure, I enjoy listening to these songs, and some of them speak to me, but others (especially the ones without lyrics) just instill in me the experience of music. All of them evoke moods or feelings that really can’t be explained. There is a deep connection between the music and the listener. All of the songs, if only marginally at times, help to define me. So in an indirect sort of way, I guess they do represent me.
So kick back, take the phone off the hook, and enjoy my chosen songs.
Ah, it’s worth pointing out that the two Pink Floyd songs (Fearless and Pillow of Winds) are weird-ish remixes that have some reggae stuff going on…Not really my cup of tea. I like tea, not this kind of tea though. I mean reggae is jive and all, just not in Pink Floyd remix songs. I’m not a fan of remixes, really. I’ll be honest – I just didn’t know what I was doing searching for these songs on grooveshark and this is what popped up…whatever. The original versions of these two songs are the ones I like, though.
Also, I guess this is technically my second post here because for my first post, I stupidly left it as a comment on Brian Hospital’s blog. That shows you how very little I know about this blog stuff. LOL That’s embarrassing! So Brian, sorry about the comment that had absolutely nothing to do with your blog, it’s just Martin trying to figure out how to write a post! Nice blog though, I enjoyed it!
Enjoy!
