Create or find a photograph or some other image (a meme, an animated GIF, etc.) that represents in some way your experience at Baruch thus far. Embed your image in a blog post in which you reflect, in no more than 500 words, on your impressions of your first three months at Baruch. Your response should be personal and creative. If you use an image that you did not create yourself, be sure to credit the source with a name, if possible, and a URL!

The reason why I think that this image describes my experience at Baruch so far is because the main idea behind this picture is the word different. So far at Baruch everything is different from what I am used to in high school. I have a lot more homework that takes even longer to do. I get some good professors, but some bad ones too. It also takes me about 10 times a much time just to get to school than I am used to and it is a lot more expensive than usual. I dont know everyone in my classes like when I was in high school. The different experiences that I have gotten I think impacted me in a good way. These are the types of things that I thing that will get me even better situated for the real world more than high school could have given me. These new experiences have challenged me to think outside of the box, invent and create something that I am not used too, and meet new people. When I first started college I thought that something different would be a bad thing, but after about 3 months now I think that being a student at Baruch is a good thing that has taught me many new things that I will be able to use year after year.

This image of the roller coaster describes my experience at Baruch because during college, my head has been taking so many twists and turns, thinking about so many things at once. What assignments are due, dates of tests, paying attention in class, and giving speeches. It’s all crazy. Roller coasters are meant to be crazy and gives you that adrenaline rush that this college experience is giving me. Sometimes I feel great with the results I get from my tests and work at school; however, sometimes I feel the opposite when I get bad grades or the grade that I wanted to get but didnt achieve.

This image of a clock is almost the center of my college life. Time and schedules is the independent variable. Everything depends on time. The amount I study depends on time. The grade I get depends on time. The amount I sleep I get is based on time. As you can see time is a big factor of my college life. I am going to overcome to use time as my advantage one day. I will beat time until time works for me or at least works with me. As long as I am not punished because of time then I am fine. Time will eventually back stab you in the back when death comes along. At the same time maybe time isn’t such a bad guy after all our life here needs to end eventually and we will be in peace. Who doesn’t love peace?
I am at the Newman Library doing this meme on a Mac in a Saturday afternoon. The only problem is that it’s really slow. Anyways, the above link is a link to a Wordle that I created. The last three months has really been tough for me academic wise. I am trying to maintain a good GPA but am really having a hard time doing it. I can’t seem to get A’s on all of the courses I am currently enrolled in.

This image is a mountain. THe reason why i posted this photograph is that as we climb the mountain we are getting exhasted and we don’t want to go up anymore. Just want to give up. The first three months at Baruch was exactly same thing to me. The work was a lot and the level of them were really high that i couldn’t even expect. But, when you reach the peak of the mountain, the only thing you have to do is walk down and be careful. Because, by being satisfied and excited to go down, we might fall down at once. So, I will try to end this semester up by focusing hard on my final tests.

I bought most of the recommended books, most not all. I guess only with experience and prior choices do you learn what works best for your future. College isn’t as hard as I thought it would be(not yet), except fkin math, fuck man I hate math.

Bernard Baruch. Honestly, I wasn’t all too excited about being here. There were a lot of people whom I hated that was going here. LOL luckily, I didn’t see any of those tools. On the other hand, school was just school. Can’t exactly get excited about that. Besides most of my friends were either joining the marines, going to community college or just working. BUT!!! My feelings changed. For the first time in forever, I’ve met a group of people who are humane, aspiring and by great means, true individuals. Back in high school, everybody was in some sort of way, a scum. Even my friends, with a few exceptions of course. They were fake, they lacked ambition, criticized life pessimistically and totally sucked dick. From that point in which I was surrounded by complete failures, I grew hate and bred despair. Seriously a bunch of downies who were troubled by trivial issues such as girls, and substance abuse. I wish them the best but FUCK YAH HOMIES. My experience at Baruch has been extremely satisfying. Everybody I’ve met so far… man you’re all so gifted. Its not even exclusively students either. cant forget about the teachers and of course our dear toby and WOOOOOOOO. i’ve been slacking a lot at school but i got this yo! old habits are habits. its one of those obstacles i’ll definitely get by. time required obviously. if all else fails, i’m glad i’ve met people who has ambition. if my dreams don’t reach the world, i’m glad the rest of yours will. at least i can hope and see through that. playing that college game but we’re winning this shit. LOVE ALL YOU GUYS.

Cause so far I feel a lot of people you encounter in college are just full of shit.
I feel as you get older there should be a greater sense of maturity but I guess not always. Sometimes getting older and going to college doesnt mean that you will meet people that are older or wiser it just means you might just run into people who will try new bullshit on you.

The above photo represents my first three months at Baruch. BOREDOM. I never I thought I would complain about this, but I’m yearning to actually be challenged here. Hopefully in my later semesters this will happen.

This picture is perfect to describe my first 3 months of college. In movies and comedies everyone always talks about how other than the work , how great college is and how you get all these hot girls and how many parties there are. In Baruch this is totally opposite. There are no parties. There is no nothing. There aren’t even dorms. If you were looking to party at this college then you made a big mistake. My time to party was in high school because you cant really do anything in this school.

College made me stress everything and over analyze so many situations. I hate it so far.
