My life can’t be described in simply eight pictures…so I chose to post NINE instead. (One more picture DOES make a difference!)
From LEFT to RIGHT:
- I start off each morning with a visit to my local Starbucks. Thankfully, they are all over the city so it’s never hard to miss my daily dose of overpriced coffee. During this time of year, I make a transition in my selections. For example, during the summer time, my favorite drink is a Grande Iced Passion Tea, sweetened please! But when it starts getting a little colder outside, I switch to a cup of Medium Roast coffee with 2 sugars. Whatever I end up ordering at Starbucks, it just makes me happy for some odd reason. I blame the caffeine.
- My family is my main support system. Whenever I feel conflicted, upset or excessively happy, I release my feelings to them because they never judge me. I’ve become the person I am today because of them and I owe all my accomplishments to them. (P.S. That’s not a picture of my real family…just in case you’re wondering…)
- Meira(Me-Rah) Neuman. The light of my life. I met her when I began volunteering for a program called Dancing Dreams last year. The program is dedicated to provide physically and mentally challenged girls with an enjoyable and therapeutic dance experience. Although working with Dancing Dreams is my first experience working with children with challenges, I feel very confident when I’m around them because they are full of enthusiasm and happiness. Working with Meira has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience because she has taught me to appreciate the simplicity of life. I plan on volunteering for the program for as long as I can!
- The 7 train is the only train that runs by my neighborhood, so I feel very connected to it. I have had many experiences on the train, both good and bad; however, taking the train is an enjoyable experience for me because it is one of the few places where I can sit and observe people without them thinking I’m weird. It’s fascinating to see the types of people who get on the train, especially the 7 train.
- I come off as expressive, and perhaps a little dramatic, to many. This quality contributes to my ability to speak in public without much fear. Unlike many, I love to get up in front of people and speak my mind because it gives me a sense of power and importance.
- Eat. Sleep. Shop. I don’t live by this guideline right now, but someday, when my life is well-established, I would like to.
- Many people don’t make lists of their goals because they don’t find the importance in doing so. However, I love being able to check off a box when I have accomplished something. It gives me more incentive to continue trying my hardest.
- The swimming pool where I learned to swim, practice for the swimming team, and currently supervise now. My life is in that pool.
- I am deeply religious, but I don’t find the necessity in telling people what religion I belong to because I believe that in some way, all religions are connected in the way they encourage their followers to believe in something greater than them. I believe in religious equality and tolerance and I hope that someday, the entire world will know what that is.
