I found Colim Toibin addressing us very interesting, I never really met and saw an author that I read a book from. I also found it interesting the way he was inspired on writing the book “Brooklyn” and his inspiration for the book and what he was thinking while he was writing it and the fact that he used many stories that he had heard and saw while he was a child to write his book. I also found it very interesting how he tried to compare our lives to the book by explaining the similarities when moving away from home and living by yourself. I found it very interesting how he was talking about his differences in America then Ireland, and really showed the differences between the two different cultures and lifestyles, such as his example of watching a baseball game and having no idea what was going on.

In my slideshow I picked all the things I like, I obviously care about my friends and family but didn’t want to add those to the slide because those were a given. I love the NFL and try to watch every game and also play Fantasy football every year. I also love to play soccer and was on the soccer team in High School even though we didn’t win a game it was a great experience. I now attend Baruch College and love it, it’s a great college and I feel that anything that I’m interested I can do over here I also love the fact that its in the city because there are so many things to do here at any given point. The thing that bothers me about having school in the city is the commute from where I live to college, it’s very time consuming however I usually sleep their and do a lot of reading that needs to be done for school. I love music, all kinds of music my favorite genre is EDM, which means Electronic Dance Music, and it’s really interesting and influential. I also used to play the guitar and written some songs before. I tried to produce some music, however it isn’t that easy. Whenever I go home and want to relax I usually play on my ipad or listen to music, I like the Ipad a lot because it allows me to do many activities such as playing games, reading, listening to music and doing homework. I enjoy my phone a lot even though I am one of the few people who still have a Blackberry phone I find it really easy to use and very conveniant and I also have it because I hate the IPhone more.
