Hello! My name is Candelaria Saavedra (also known as Candy) and I will try to introduce myself through a PowerPoint Slideshow. (Click Here- PowerPoint Slideshow)

The first slide has pictures of family. My family and I share a very close relationship. I know that I can ALWAYS count on them for anything that I need. It may sound a little cliché but I wouldn’t know what my life would be without them. It is because of them that I have grown to be the person I am today.

The next slide is on Mexico. My culture is a big part of my life; I am a proud Mexican American. I like to embrace my culture and am not ashamed of it.

The third slide shows pictures filled with adrenaline. I love the rush that I get when I get off a rollercoaster or ride in the back of a motorcycle. I want to go bungee jumping, skydiving, kayaking and a lot more!!

The fourth slide has pictures of New York City. This is where I was born and raised.  This is a part of me because of the New Yorker culture that lives in me.

In the next slide there are pictures of nature and outdoor activities. Even though I was raised in NYC and love everything about it, I am also an outdoors person. I love the peacefulness nature can bring and outdoors sports. I enjoy hiking, horseback riding, or relax and enjoy nature.

The following slide is about education. One never simply stops learning. I know that my education is very important, not just to get a job, but also so that I can continue to grow as a person. Education is not just about a degree, but also about trying and learning new things.

Then there is a slideshow dedicated to music. I love music because it is a great way to reduce stress. Music can be used just about for anything. I always like to have music playing when I’m on the train, doing homework, or doing. There is not a part of my day that I’m not doing homework.

Lastly, the last slide is a big smiley face. This is a symbol for me trying my best to stay positive and happy. Things always happen for a reason and we just have to make the best of it.
