Raise your weapon By Deadmau5- This song is one of my favorites not only because of the powerful music, but because of the intense and expressive lyrics. The metaphors are absolutely beautiful and I can relate to this song because sometimes I raise my guard to avoid getting hurt based on past experiences.

Take care By Drake ft. Rihanna –I am a caring person, always willing to help my friends when they are down and those in need, even strangers I do not know. To me this song symbolizes compassion and pure concern, two things I always try to display.

Sweet Disposition By The Temper Trap-One of my favorite lines from the song is “We won’t stop ‘till it’s over, Won’t stop to surrender” The lyric defines one of my personal mottos, never give up.

Here I Am By Nicki Minaj- This song symbolizes a woman who has figured out who she is and no longer cares if people judge her. She puts herself on display but refuses to change for anyone who disagrees with who she is.

I Just Wanna Run By Downtown fiction- This song describes the feeling of being trapped and wanting to find a safe haven. Sometimes I want a break from everything and wish I can run away from reality and live in my own world for a bit.

Price Tag By Jessie J ft. B.O.B- This song relates to me because I am not a person who focuses on material items, but I am a true believer of “it’s the thought that counts” and spending quality time with people rather than spending time with money.

(What doesn’t kill you)stronger  By Kelly Clarkson- Even though this expression is pretty cliché and overused, I still think it can apply to everyone and in fact this is another motto I believe in.

The Kill By 30 seconds to Mars- This song can be interpreted in many different ways but I relate to it based on my own analysis of it. I think the song describes an inner battle, one in which the enemy and the avenger are the same person. I’ve had many instances in which I had to fight myself, but these inner conflicts made me stronger and let the person who I am today come forth.

Talken’ 2 Myself Eminem: One of my favorite artists is Eminem and this song in particular describes how I feel sometimes, a feeling most teenagers have experienced. It is as if I am alone and feel that sometimes only I understand myself.

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) Eurythmics- An oldie but a goodie, a perfect representation of the 2 types of people in this world, the users and the used. This song  is quite mysterious but leaves a lasting impression by creating a breakdown of the world that doesn’t just relate to me but people in general
