My favorite workshop was the event in the 23rd street building where they read many kids monologues. It was really interesting to see how other kids were handling their first semesters and what other people had to say about their new collegiate experiences.

Man, it was a fun year at freshman seminar. Even though it’s timing was a little inconvenient, I loved getting to know my class more and making friends and jokes along the way. My favorite workshop was definitely the Voices. The actors put in really hard work, and I appreciate that. Also, they performed masterfully, and some of the freshman’s monologues were so captivating, and others were simply hilarious.

My favorite performance during freshman seminar has to be the creative play that the NYU students put on for Baruch. It was very original and targeted many of the issues college students, and teens overall face on a daily basis. The students managed to combine serious topics with humor that not only lightened the mood, but made it much more entertaining. I was actually interested in their performance, even though most of the issues they disussed have been presented to us since early high school, they managed to add a new twist and keep the audience’s attention. Therefore I enjoyed their performance the best.

Out of all the workshops my favorite was Baruch voices. despite the fact that it fell out during registration time i thought the whole ideas of performing students ideas was amazing. The people that performed these monologues really made you feel and understand the thoughts of the person that wrote them. I thought all the performances were performed extremely well. Another great aspect of Baruch voices was it shared common ideas of students and it made everyone able to relate to one another.

My absolute favorite workshop was Baruch voices. Oh so much fun. The monologues were enlightening in terms of: if you give someone a paper and pen and the chance to tell their story, you’d be surprised at the diversity and intensity of what comes out. Some monologues were funny, serious, sad, hyper, psychotic, happy, and everything in between. If I wasn’t so worried about registering for my classes on the same day, I’d have enjoyed the performance even more.

This is what my first college semester felt like in the beginning. I found it difficult to re-adjust to the structure, having graduated from high school 2 years ago (home-schooled since 7th grade) and spending my time working and traveling (the good life). I wasn’t sure I’d connect with the people here, and I didn’t expect pre-calc to be as hard as it was; however, as the semester progressed I made some friends, got myself acquainted with the buildings and the system, and tried practically every food joint within a 10 block radius. Not too bad..

My favorite workshop was “Baruch Voices.” I thought it was pretty cool that those people told their stories in front of everyone, especially since some got very personal, I thought it took a lot of courage. And it was also a little weird listening to the problems of everyday people who you might never expect to deal with such things. I think that’s what kept people on their toes as they watched the performance. It was a good workshop to attend and a good experience for my first term.

My favorite enrichment workshop was the first “Baruch Voices” performance. I feel like this was a pretty good welcoming to my first semester here. I was just impressed how organized the performers were and how well they were able to perform each of the monologues that they were assigned. I think this performance stuck with me the most because I found it interesting to get a sense of how last year’s freshman felt about school and other things. I also felt like I was able to relate to some of the monologues, this definitely made me feel more comfortable about my first semester here.

My first three months at Baruch have been pretty interesting. For me, the biggest change that I had to get used to was that I was going to be living in the city. I knew I was going to either love or hate living here, as is the disposition of most people towards NYC. So far I’ve loved it, and Baruch definitely helps. I feel like at Baruch you have the whole city at your fingertips. The school is in the perfect area if you are majoring in finance, which I am. That’s why I chose this picture, I feel like it really captivates how I feel about Baruch itself, and the city as a whole.

I don’t think this was an enrichment workshop but my favorite class was when the adviser came in to teach us how to register for class this really helped me especially because i registration day was right after that class it was very helpful to choose what classes to take and when. it also helped us understand the registration process that much more it was great and i feel that this was probably every bodies favorite session.
