I volunteered at Senior meal serving center in Times Square. I was little bit late because I woke up late but the leaders were generous that they forgave me and rather welcomed me and appreciated my presence. We served about 250 seniors who doesn’t usually have proper meals and most of them appreciated our good conduct. Throughout the project, I felt proud and good about myself because I was able to help others and contribute for the benefit of the society. However, I was very unpleased on some occasions. Some seniors complained when we were out of beef, some complained when we didn’t give them enough soup to intensify their appetite. Also I was unhappy with one of the chef because she was very biased. She did not allow me to touch the potatoes( I had my gloves on) and actually gave me a lecture about how important hygiene is in food serving. But herself, she touched those potatoes saying “my hands are special.” I felt really outrageous and assured myself not to re-sign for this project.
