Blog 1 : About Helen
I chose to make an 8 slide power point to demonstrate who I think I am. Through this process I found out that I don’t really know who I am yet, and hopefully transitioning myself from high school to college will allow me to discover this.
My first slide shows my three most common faces. One with my contacts on, one with my ridiculously large glasses, and lastly, the silly faces I make.
The second slide demonstrates how I spend most of my time. Whether its early 7 am tennis practice, late matches, tournaments, or coaching kids, I spend majority of my time with a racket in my hand.
I love eating anything, even cafeteria food. Here are some candid photos of me eating in the third slide.
I enjoy spending my free time giving back to the community. I volunteer at many non-profit organizations, register for walks, and donate whatever I can to people in need.
In the fifth slide are some of my proudest moments in my high school career. I became an active member of my high school national honor society board, was pronounced scholar athlete of the year, and was presented a scholarship from the Javits family.
The sixth slide is a tribute to my boyfriend who always puts up with me. And, in the last two slides I gave you a glimpse of moments that shows life is much funner when you step out of your comfort zone.
So as of now, I’m a hard working, self motivated individual, with an unpredictable side.
