Our theme for the New York Times project was focus on Chemical Weapon. We did this topic because of the argument about Syria using chemical weapons in the last couple months. Also, we felt that president Obama and his administrations were against the willing of American people.

Our topic for the New York Time project is focus on Syria. We did this topic because we felt that President Obama and his administration is against the will of the American people. America with its 16 trillion dollar debt is in no place to finance another war, and not to mention the government couldn’t afford to take care of its veterans. In addition, no other country except Obama and his administration believe that chemical weapon is actually used in Syria by its regime.

a) Even though i look back again of my self-assessments, i still couldn’t decide what i want to do.  I felt job is part of my life, I don’t want to waste my time to work on the job that i don’t like for rest of my life, that makes me felt time past slow, inattentive, and board.  I need time to decide what i like, maybe business is not best for me.

b) I still need time to consider my career, but it helps me know more about what my ability is. I don’t know did I still interest in business, the results is not what i expected.

c) Focus 2 show me what job is good for me depend on my personality and an information about the job, such as values, job duties, skills, outlook, and area of study. It helps me know more what I need to expect to do when i going to the field.

Our group selected Syria as our topic. The reason why we choose Syria as our topic is Syria is the controversial topic in United State  for the last two years and it reflect to us how social, political and economic problem that affect to US and our life. People are social being, we need to have relations to outside world. It were not only enrich knowledge and expand horizon, but also helps you to get along with the outside world.

A) I learned that from the assessment their are different types of majors that range matching my personality and skills besides accounting. It may effect my decision in what I planned to pursue and my goals when I declare my major. But I’ll still go with accounting.

B) I didn’t know their were other careers that match my criteria and goals. I chose to attend Baruch College for my career in business and attend Zicklin, I know that for sure its in business. But I will look into more careers offered in business.

C)Focus 2 helped me a lot in discovering my horizons that its not strictly broad if I ever dislike the major intend to commit to. There are more majors that match perfectly with me. It made clearly think more about my future and help plan it.

My group selected Syria as the topic for our New York Times project. The topic was chosen because it was a major issue concerning the United States and the world. The Syrian conflict has been in the scope for two years and its a continuing issue. This topic reflects the events happening around us in the world and world issues that play in a role on politics, economy and society. We are connecting to world events to discover our own opinions and ideas on the issues that are similar to the crisis in Syria.

#1.   I know what I want, what I was doing, and what I will do in the future. It may affect some of my thoughts, but it does not affect my goal. For me, my goal is very simple, but difficult to achieve.I want my business to become a chain of business.

#2.   I chose  baruch college, not because business major.I just wanted to give myself a chance to prove I was  fit in college, or not. if it is “yes”, I will consider my major. So far, I can not tell you an accurate answer. But I will continue to try to prove this issue.

#3.    Focus 2 helped me a lot, on account of those, it showed me many majors that I never  heard before. It made me more clearly what I like, what I want, what I need.

My group selection about electronic. Because baruch is a commercial college, then it is bound to have a relationship with the e-commerce.To learn the latest information, we must know how to use electronic products. Then we can always stay up to date information in our knowledge of them.Business, for me, the most important thing is real-time dynamic.

a) I learned that I might be interested in different majors after looking at the results from the self-assessments. This affected my choice of major and career goals a little because I still want to pursue my first major I had in mind.

b) I had no clue that the results would come up with other majors different than Business ones. That was the reason I went to Baruch. I will search up more information on the majors that came up in my results.

c) Focus 2 helped me a lot because it showed me many majors that I never even heard before in my life. It pinned down to a major I would like in the future.
