About Me

http://grooveshark.com/#!/playlist/Songs+That+I+Like+To+Listen+To/100801605

Hello everyone. My name is Adrian Lulanaj and we are all in the same predicament in that many of us don’t know each other very well. It seems we have all started to let everyone know about ourselves and I won’t do anything any different. First off I’ll talk a little bit about myself: one thing I don’t like is talking about myself. Throughout high school or whatever academic setting I was asked to talk about myself, I dreaded it, and honestly, I don’t feel much different about this project either. But, in each case I was asked to inform my peers of myself, including this one, I made an attempt. One thing about me, as you may have gotten a sense of already, is that I like to keep to myself. I have no problem not talking to anyone about anything as long as I don’t have to. I’m a very individual person, not necessarily independent though, if that makes sense. I generally take things slowly, day-by-day. That is where the playlist comes in that I linked at the top.

As aforementioned, I don’t like to talk about myself much and similarly, the songs chosen in the playlist hardly represent my personality and define who I am. People say, “Music is how you can express yourself” or whatever you please, I’m not like that. I don’t view many things as having such significance that it “defines who I am.” The songs chosen are just a variety of genres of music that I enjoy listening to. Some people have a deep emotional connection to music and I listen to music that gets me through the day. What I mean by that is music that literally helps me pass the time. The songs that I chose vary from EDM to Indie-pop but the only thing that these songs have in common is they put me in a state where I can’t be bothered and just to relax and enjoy (perfect for hour-long train rides). I hope you guys enjoy it.

I put a playlist in here because I think music is a huge part of my life. Whenever I have free time I’m always at my piano messing around with keys or playing around with my guitars. I listen to music whenever I get the chance. I try to listen to a variety of different music and I’m always switching it up. I listen to music whenever I’m trying to get pumped up for a meet, while doing homework, and even before bed at night. This playlist is made up of some of my favorite songs. I hope everyone takes a look at it!

Slideshow that speaks to who I am.

2. Music

3. Closet full of clothes, yet nothing to wear.

4. Hair and Makeup

5. Children

6. Disney

7. Positivity

8. Work Hard

The first picture I have chosen is of a family tree. My family is something that matters more to me than anything in this world, and I would not trade them in for anything. Included in this category are my friends, for me my friends are my family. Although I am a friendly person, and in turn have a decent amount of friends, there are very few friends whom I’d place in this category of family; but they’re more than enough for me and I love them all to death.

The second picture is a clutter of things related to music. I think music is something that speaks to everyone, and with all the different kinds of music everyone can find a certain song or even entire genre of music that represents them. Music is one of those things that is so “universal”. A person who lives in New York and a person who lives in China can have totally different lifestyles, cultures, and outlooks on life; having close to nothing in common, but both being spoken too and drawing a connection to the same song. For me that is something so amazing, and one of the things I love about music.

The third picture, a girl in a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear, makes me laugh because it shows perfectly what I look like most mornings. I’m a person who absolutely loves to shop, even when I don’t need to. In fact, I have so much clothes that I don’t even have room for it all, yet I can never seem to find the right thing to wear.

The fourth picture is a collage of hair and makeup. These are two things I truly enjoy doing, and would consider to be my hobbies. I think they’re both a sort of art form and allow you to be very creative.

The fifth and sixth pictures are of children and many Disney characters. For a very long time I have been especially good at taking care of kids and having fun with them and even now at the age of 17 I find myself relating to and having full conversations with 4 and 5 year olds. I think a part of that connection is due to me in a sense, having a sort of childlike mind. I absolutely love Disney movies and fairy tales, and things that are geared towards children. (I’ve even found myself watching a Nick Jr. show even while I wasn’t babysitting!)

The final two pictures I believe  represent me perfectly because I try and make sure to always stay positive and have a positive outlook on things that i’m involved in even of they may not be the best things in the world. Finally, I try to always work as hard as I can so I will be able to achieve all of my dreams in the future.

Hello, fellow students in my class. There are eight pictures in the slide that I believe represents a good part of me. So, getting right to the point, the first picture you see is a shelf with a lot of stuff on it. Well in the apartment I live in, it is quite small so I have to use the vertical space so everything can fit. Now, the second picture you see is some water bottles. Well that is actually part of my chores. The water is not the cleanest so I have to boil and cool down water to store it in some large water bottles which you happen to see in the picture. I have many other chores but this one takes the longest. The third one is a t-shirt that shows that I had good grades in high school. The fourth one is not really clear but if you look closely there are some stretch marks on my arm showing that I worked out but I have been slacking on going to the gym the past few months. The fifth one shows my recently acquired desktop I got after I enter college. I have been using it to do assignments including this one. The sixth one shows where I eat during breakfast and dinner. I really like to eat and the only times I am not hungry are when I just ate.The seventh one shows my bed (top one). I sleep on a bunk bed and share the room with my older brother. The bed is not those nice squishy beds that most people have, it is pretty hard but that is the way I like it. The last one is a picture of me (left) and a master troller (right). This guy trolled me almost everyday until the day I had this picture taken.

Hey guys. My name is Luca DiGiacomo. Below is a link to my slideshow. Each image is a different representation or character trait of me. The first image is probably my ideal place to visit. The second image shows where I’m from, Staten Island. The third image is Staten Island tech; This is where I went to high school and had most of my best memories. The fourth image is of Italy. This is where my parents are from and the place I go for my summer vacations. The fifth image shows how much I love food. I also like to cook. The sixth image is my method of transportation every day to school. I drive to Brooklyn and then take the N train to Manhattan. It is almost a two hour commute. The seventh image shows one of my hobbies, which is hiking. I’ve hiked and camped in various mountain ranges such as the Appalachians and the Alps. The eight image is the beach. This the place I go to relax and unwind.

Chris Li. Waterfall Fighter.

Hey, I’m Christopher Li. But everyone calls me Chris because my name is too long. I for one have never been good at representing myself through a series of pictures, or music, or at all honestly. So this assignment comes off as difficult for me. Some people might be thinking “That’s a load of crap, who knows you better than yourself?” It’s one thing to describe yourself. It’s another thing to have people describe yourself to you. So bear with me as I explain who I think I am to people. I will keep it simple so I don’t bore you.

tumblr_nb2iorwmS21qzbl5oo1_400Image #1: I’m kinda slow. Not stupid. It just takes me a little longer than other people to fully and completely understand and process information. I reread details several times over to truly comprehend whatever it is I am reading.

tumblr_moxsayecWJ1r7uix4o1_400Image #2: I have the ability to spontaneously combust into flames. Like Ghost Rider. It sometimes happens when I’m doing my daily activities which really affect my work. But for real, I do tend to get really overexcited at times.

tumblr_lffpf4SOGY1qzd9ino1_400Image #3: I hope one day to reach the status of “Cool Guy”. That’s not me by the way. I wish it was.

tumblr_mjdpo0Nx8G1rk74yho1_400Image #4: I love games. Yeah, even Jenga.

tumblr_mju0tul0NN1qicrz8o1_400Image #5: I have been called “A big nerd”. Marvel. DC. Anime. You name it. I have “approximate knowledge of many things”.

tumblr_mukmksRmbx1r0wqrdo1_400Image #6: An amazing artist. Clearly.

admin-ajax.phpImage #7: You might be wondering about my title. I am a Master of Martial Arts. That’s right. I obtained the technique to reverse a flow of a waterfall by uppercutting it. Call me out on this. I dare you.

robocop-unicorn-1111Image #8: I do like to joke around. Whether it be a dirty joke, crude humor, or a well timed joke. I’m all for it. (Puns vary)

I can also bench press a tank.

Music: The Window to My Soul

Hey guys!

I’ve attached a link to a playlist in Spotify. This playlist has a combination of a few of my favorite music genres–the ones that I’m listening to most of the time and that have consequently shaped my personality. Music has always been one of my greatest passions, and in this playlist I included those songs that have encouraged me to keep pursuing my dreams and to keep fighting for the things I love. There’s also songs in Spanish-my current favorites. These aren’t common genres in the Caribbean yet they capture my attention with their great lyrics and astonishing music arrangements. Hope you enjoy it!

Grace I am.

http://www.lwshow.com/app/slideshow/view.php?uid=6481&sessionid=c44d8c9d141c7eb8c7e8d4288df741b1

Hola folks, my name is Grace Kim and the included slideshow is a visual projection of my personality, hobbies, and things that I fancy. The first picture is a karaoke machine because I love to sing, though I’m not very good at it. When I karaoke, I pour all my stress into my songs and when the session is over, I always feel refreshed and ready for a challenge. The second picture is to highlight my orientation to detail. Anyone can see that whoever crafted this dress spent days, probably, meticulously perfecting its hem. Likewise, I am keen on thoroughly examining each component of a project until I am confident in my work. The third image captures my infatuation for the color black. I feel most confident and secure when I am wearing black because it is the armor to my soldier. Also, you just really can’t go wrong with black. Black is life. I’ve chosen the Marvel logo as my fourth image because I am rather obsessed with superheros and superpowers, including the entire universe that Marvel has created for them. The fifth image is of sushi because sushi and I are BFFs. It’s just the most delectable food that has a wonderful balance of flavors that I will always have the appetite for. Overall, I am a huge fan of Japanese Cuisine due to its “light” nature. Sixth is the movie poster for my favorite movie, Disney’s “Tangled.” This movie speaks directly to me because it reflects virtually the same predicament that I am currently in. Like Rapunzel, I feel trapped in my environment and I want to feel the world for myself instead of living under the clutched hand of my mother. The seventh image is of one of the items on my bucket-list. I wish to one day, take my closest friends and drive cross-country whilst singing along to songs on the radio to Nevada’s desert and observe the Andromeda galaxy under the night sky with all of us laying on a blanket. Lastly, the eighth image is of a stainless steel table. This signifies my blunt nature and my tendency to say it like it is instead of sugar-coating it.
