This song selection really represents me as a person, and not only because of their content but because of their genre and their titles as well. I love to enjoy the moment and have ridiculous amounts of fun, and a lot of the time I come off strong and obnoxious but there is so much more to me than that. These songs can help me further that statement. The songs that I have chosen are of different genres and that can translate to how open I am to new and different things. I don’t really have a favorite anything, because how do you determine a favorite? How do you pick just one thing when there are so many extraordinary things out in the world? There are just so many more things to see, to try, or more specifically to hear. The titles of these songs can also be used to describe me as a person. Some of them not so literally and those I will explain. What now by Rihanna is about confusion and I know all of us are confused in one way or another. We are freshmen in college just getting our lives started and have basically no idea where we are headed or that could just be me. Regardless if it’s just me, I know that this song describes what I’m feeling about my future so perfectly I had to choose it. Snap out of it by Arctic Monkeys also helps me communicate how I feel right now. I constantly put myself in these mindsets where I feel as if I wont succeed here at Baruch because it has set a higher standard for their students. When I think like this I tell myself “Snap out of it” and I do. The beginning of Of the Soul by Mac Miller just makes me laugh every time I hear it because he raps, “Don’t even know what’s in my head anymore though. I figured out I aint gunna go to College..” and right now I wish I wasn’t going to College just because of this workload. But I do want to succeed and get a higher education so regardless of all the work I’m very happy I am here at Baruch.

Your playlist is very diverse and that’s a good thing because of all the amazing reasons you have described in your post. Keep your head up and you will be fine. College is a lot of work, but it also gives you the opportunity to learn what you want to learn eventually. The multipurpose room has events going on everyday and provides you with the opportunity to make new friends, learn new things and most of all, have a good time.
