MET

I went to the MET with my friend to do the blog post. I decided to go to the MET because it was one I was familiar with since my high school was very close by to it and I’ve been there a couple times to do some sketches for an art class. So I went with my friend to the MET. Furthermore, it was technically free and we could donate whatever we wanted to. Taking advantage of that, I donated $1 because donating nothing seems a bit awkward.
While I was there, we went to the Egyptian exhibit because it was the first one we saw and it was interesting to see all those mummies and ruins that was from back then. I walked around and it was kind of crowded but the little pieces in the showcases and those coffin looking mummies were veThis image requires alt text, but the alt text is currently blank. Either add alt text or mark the image as decorative.ry fascinating to me because I’m interested in the history of things and how people lived that type of life in the past while we live a more modern and up to date life. In addition, an showcase that I saw had to do with little figurines and reading the little descriptions on it was fascinating to learn about.
Another place in the MET that we went to was the Roman paintings on the second floor. There was some very vivid paintings of women as well as very detailed other paintings that had to do with old times and lifestyle.
This trip to the MET with my friend was very informing of the different forms of art out there. I haven’t been back there since the last assignment I had to do in high school but it was good to be in the neighborhood again and reliving memories from high school of going to the MET.
