Hillel Startup Tech Fair

On Thursday, Ezra, Sofa, and I attended an event hosted by Hillel. This event was the Startup Tech Fair. This was a great opportunity. There were a lot of people that attended the event. There was a large line leading out the door of Baruch to enter the room for the event. This hinted to us we were at the right place, and that the event will be helpful for us. The event provided us with information and resources we would otherwise not have. We, among other students, were able to network and meet with the founders of start-up tech companies.
This was interesting because it allowed us to see how we are able to start up our own passions. It was definitely inspiring, because it goes to show that us Baruch students are supported and given resources to succeed and pursue our passions. Of course while this event was hosted by Hillel and geared towards Jewish students, everyone was welcome and we felt that presence. This event was very interesting but not something I felt was necessarily something I would be in– just because I was intrigued by it but would rather work at a law firm or corporate office. I intend to be a corporate attorney or something amongst those lines. While my career choice would be useful for them, I’d like to be in an environment that would teach me the skills I would need. However, I am now more motivated to view different avenues for discovery. This was definitely a learning experience for me.
