A very nice CCF club member invited me to join their welcome party for potential members on the 10th floor on September 7, and I accepted. CCF stands for Chinese Christian Fellowship, but you don’t have to be a Christian to have fun with them. The welcome party was held in a regular classroom and everyone there was Chinese. The CCF club members introduced themselves one by one and gave us information about their club. They said they are here to provide a comfortable place for Chinese Christians and also educate non-Christians about God. Then, the club members served us free food. I remember there was chicken broccoli, fried rice, fried noodles, different kinds of soda, and some other Chinese dish. But, before we can eat the food, we prayed to God to show our gratitude, we prayed like any Christian before their meals, but in Chinese. I learned that giving thanks to God reminds us that everything comes from Him, so is food. Lord Jesus gave thanks to God when he fed five-thousand men with only five loaves of bread and two fishes, also his apostle Paul continued to do the tradition. After the eating, we played a very complicated Chinese game that I somehow managed to play because the instructions were in Chinese and my Chinese is terrible. Everyone had a lot of fun because the game was silly. After the game comes singing. We sang together about our Lord Jesus Christ and God, our Father. I think it was about God and our Lord loving us and bringing salvation to people in pain. I always thought Christians were serious white guys using water magic to repel demonic spirits that force their religion on others, but I was wrong. The CCF club members were awesome and funny people. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.
