Freshman Seminar Fall 17 LC16

Blog Post 1

I was busy everyday except Saturday. Even on Saturday I was quite busy, so i had to pick something and do it on a timely matter. Picking a museum was quite easy. My friend (or my photographer) and I were racing against time so we had to choose the closest museum in Brooklyn which was obviously Brooklyn Museum. Located near Prospect park, Brooklyn museum was featuring many deep topics such as the black movements and suffrage (which I end up not visiting). What intrigued me was the things they have on display. Things that are quire ordinary in the modern world we live in. One example of this was the chair that was on display. I was baffled upon the fact that a chair that looked like it came from Ikea was on public display. Nothing seemed special about and nothing significant was featured. What was special about the chair was the fact that it was so ordinary. Besides the chairs that i saw in the museum, I was able to see miniature models of houses and environments. These models was so realistic that I had to take a Snapchat about it and show everyone “my magnificent new home”. Overall, my experience in the museum was well spent because i was able to update my profile picture after 108 weeks of the same old picture of me and my Asian Youtubers. I also made sure I took a picture of proof that I went to the museum.
