In the Finance and Economic Society general meeting we learn a lot about what the club do. FES sounded to me like another resource Baruch College have to offer to its finance major students. The president and other members of the club talked about the different type of program we can join. Each offers something unique but the overall goal is the same which is to prepare and assist its members to be ahead in both skills and connection of the finance and economic field.
There are 3 different programs being offered to everyone in the general meeting. The financial Analyst Program, the Investment Banking Program, and The Mentorship program. I was most interested in the mentorship program because of what it is about. Which basically is to help prepare its members for the industry that encompasses finance as well as economic. Finally, the general meeting also discuss the upperclassmen’s experience with these programs and all the things FES has offered them in their time at Baruch College.
