Last week, I attended the general interest meeting for Alpha Kappa Psi, which is a professional co-ed business fraternity. I was interested in this fraternity because my cousin, who graduated from college last year, was a part of this fraternity in another chapter. During this meeting, members of the fraternity explained most of the general aspects of the club such as their resources, networking, alumni, etc. The motto of their fraternity is to stand out, but don’t stand alone; they have a wide range of social activities such as their game nights, which take place on Wednesdays. They can help you with your resumes and networking–with about 150 members in Baruch and about 240,000 members worldwide, there are many opportunities available to find internships, accumulate new skills, and gain new connections. The large alumni network of the fraternity is a great way to encounter new experiences in order to help people be better prepared for the competitive business world.
