Career Enrichment Workshop – Humble
6 04 2011The career enrichment workshop was nice. it’s good to know that the school has a program in place to assist students with job readiness skills and also with getting a job. my career goals are to gain vast experience in the corporate sector, then apply that experience in a law practice, then later do something in the public domain. my plan to go about all this, starts with earning a BBA so thats my concentration now. the presentation didn’t really deal much with career development, it was much about resume building and job readiness hints. generally speaking though, it was informative in regards to highlighting the services offered by the starr career development center. i heard about it a little bit during orientation but now i more so understand what the program offers and how to utilize its services. in the near future, i might be using the video interview service to practice for real interviews, and i might go to them to have them look over my resume, and also use their database to research for job oppurtunities and so on.
