At first, this assignment was very hard to do. I still don’t know who I am, and in many ways, I don’t know who I want to become.

All I can offer now are the things that made the biggest impression on me so far in my life.

That said:

WHO I WAS

As a kid, I think that the thing outside my home that influenced me most was Japan and Japanese culture, particularly video games and anime:

I think I spent more time with Mario in my childhood than with some of my family member. heh.

Yes, I can beat you. It wouldn’t even be close.

A masterpiece.

The first anime I ever saw. By far my favorite to this day.

I spent most of my time indoors, living out fantasy lives. I wish in a way that I would have been more outgoing, and even now I’m looking for ways to make meeting new people easier, but I’m slowly changing for the better.

WHO I AM NOW

I can’t afford to spend any more time waiting. I have to go after my dreams now if I’m ever going to be able to achieve them. So now, all I do is:

I havent been to the gym in months, but I’ll be starting back soon. I think I still look ok though. =D

WHO I WILL BE

I want to be successful. That, above all, is what I want. I think my ultimate goal is to become like this guy, fictional though he may be:

Lex Luthor.

All the evil schemes and attempted Super-murders aside, he embodies everything I aspire to be. Driven, focused, determined, rich, powerful, and brilliant. I should be lucky to become half a Lex Luthor.

I’m not great when it comes to explaining myself and my thoughts so I’ll let the music speak for me. Each sentence is a lyric from the 10 songs I chose. I hope I picked the right lines so you guys can get me. The lyrics are in the same order as the songs.

I enjoyed reading my classmates’ posts. I was able to learn a lot from each and every one of them. What I liked most about reading the posts was that it was clear to me that we are all alike in some form or another. What have I learned from each of my classmates? Anthony likes girls who like sports. Leann is a faithful person when she’s in a relationship. Kevin indeed DOES have a kinky side. Vitamin C was one of my graduation songs for one of my years in school just like Larry. (By the way I loved Larry’s Blog #2 on me, I felt so special! ha ha) I love that Katheryn’s rabbit’s name is Husky. She’s so lucky she has pets! My father won’t let us get a pet. I find it so cool that Tushar has visited Hong Kong. I love to travel as well and would love to go there. I totally feel Jacob on the lack of intelligence in mainstream music but that’s all I listen to as you can see in my playlist. 0_0 Shaloma is very close to her family, I am too. R&B helps Kierra to relax. Jake’s family is from Spain. One of my favorite cities in the entire world is Madrid. Aisha uses humor to get through the hard times in life. Sheyenne’s motto that she lives by is “Live, Laugh, Love.”

Athene Owl

Owls hunt for their food and are self-sufficient. They are elegant, messy, fun, and serious.  They’re  sometimes scrappy, but naturally prepared. They are expressive, have beautiful geometry, and take care of their children/family.  Owls can see well at night, have sharp senses,  sharp claws (talons) and beak, amazing reflexes, and a keen sense of their environment. In mythology, Glaucus, the owl of Athena, represents wisdom, loyalty, and fraternity.  Among the many species of owls, I chose the “Little Owl” AKA Spotted Owl, beacuse of its latin name “athene noctua”  and something I read in the comic book “The Watchmen”.

Though I’m not nocturnal, my best work is usually the result of a late night.

I enjoy nature and exploration and being independent. In high school, I excelled in sports, math, and building architectural models. I also enjoyed camping with my brother and his friends, fishing, archery, and trail riding. I also enjoy creatively illustrated math models, reading,  finance and current events.

My first few weeks have been overwhelmingly busy. Sometimes, I wonder if I’ve bitten off more than I can chew. Then I realize that I’m actually doing pretty well and enjoy being busy rather than not.
