blog #2 on Kierra

I don’t know most of the students in the class nor have I even spoken to them, mostly because I am a very shy person. So anyone I blog about I will learn new things about and be very intrigued into what they have posted and how they have described themselves.

Kierra’s blog interested me the most. Her explanation of how the style of music influences the type of person you are is true. If you listen to hard rock all the time compared to country music, you would be some what more energetic than melo and calm. Music helps compare your situation to the artist lyrics’ because they might have went through the same experience and can better explain it through their lyrics.

I found that Kierra’s playlist of music has the same type of music I have in my playlist. The song “Ball” by T.I., is a song I use in my playlist and Kierra has it in hers as well. She also has other songs that I listen to on a daily basis like “Ima Boss”, “Make Me Proud”, “Amen”, “M.I.A.”, “Flatline” and “Should Be You”. These songs that she has in her playlist, I enjoy very well.

She said in her blog, “However, as I got older, I realized listening to music isn’t so bad after all”. I also thought the same thing a couple of years ago till I started to actually listen and think about the lyrics the music was saying to me. I got interested in the lyrics that I was listening too. When Im happy, I enjoy the beat but when I am sad or down, I understand and decipher the music which I find interesting. I enjoyed Kierra’s blog and playlist and Im glad I got to know her better as well.
