Career Planning
I plan to graduate from Baruch College with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. I currently major in business management with a concentration in entrepreneurship. I plan to start my own business and become a self-made multi-billionaire philanthropist. I have learned a great deal about myself through the self- assessments which I took the FOCUS 2 website. I learned that I like to focus on the people around me and have harmonious interactions with them. I learned that I am sociable and when I work with others I motivate them to participate. I learned that I am a leader, I recognize and appreciate the talents in other people and I do my best to help them reach their full potential. The self-assessments only fortified my choice of major and career goals, making me excited for the bright future ahead of me. The results didn’t reflect any change from what I had planned for myself. I always loved business and being a leader and the results only showed me that the business world is exactly where I need to be. My participation in FOCUS 2 helped me clarify my future direction for myself by showing me that I am on the right track for the career I always saw myself fulfilling.

Art Gallery visit
The visit to the art museum was interesting and fun. It was fun going with my freshmen seminar class because we all had different views of the artwork, which allowed the visit to be more enjoyable. I enjoyed seeing the various styles of art and also how differently the painters think with their art. There was some art that we encountered that my class and I were unable to understand what made the art so special. As we stood and tried to decipher one of them I began to see a greater truth behind the art. I realized that the picture symbolized life. Instead of looking at the solidity and simplicity of the art, the artist portrayed the different strokes taken to create the painting that showed the complex design hidden beneath which no one pays attention to. This is like life because people usually tend to look at the effects of life but forget to pay attention to the cause. I believe that everything begins within the mind. The outer world is only a reflection of the inner world. This is what I believe the artist was trying to point out in his work of art. I also showed my fellow classmates that if you move away from a painting, you see it differently than if you looked at it from up close. We had a lot of fun testing this out with many of the paintings in the art gallery and were surprised at what we saw. In one picture, a woman appeared to be wearing a ribbon from up close but when looking at the picture from a distance the ribbon looked like a small lamb. This fascinated us greatly and I think that it was an influential experience and a great way to bond with my fellow classmates.

Health Workshop
The health fair workshop I attended with my fellow classmates was fun and informative. They explained what exactly stress is, and introduced some ways of dealing with it. My peers and I were asked to fill out a questionnaire sheet, which estimated our stress level and risk for heart attacks. After doing the questionnaire, I found out that I was a type A2 person. This implicated that I am heading in the direction to being cardiac prone. When I saw this, I disagreed greatly. Not only did I disagree with the assumption that I was ‘highly stressed’ but also with some of the personalities that it listed for my type. Fears not performing well, little sense of humor, pessimistic attitude? No, No…this was definitely not describing me. When I looked over the Type B personality list I also saw that I had many of the qualities listed. Has fun while accomplishing tasks, finds pleasure in simple activities, good sense of humor, and optimistic in general…now this was definitely my kind of list. As the workshop progressed, I realized why my situation was different. The reason that I had many personalities of Type B but was listed in type A is because I do all of the activities the mentors spoke about. They explained that in order to lessen stress, we have to do activities such as yoga, meditation and writing a journal. These are all activities I currently do which allow me to deal with all forms of stress in my life. The workshop was fun and I especially loved the video where they explained meditation and inner peace by showing a clip from the movie, Kung Fu panda. I’m glad to know that I will be successful, since the questionnaire said type A tend to be more successful, and that I am taking the right precautious to deal with stress in my life.

Thoughts Of A Billionaire
What do I constantly think about? Being that I am nineteen, you might think my mind is filled with beautiful girls, getting wasted at wild parties, getting to work on time and miraculously finding a way to past the coming test. These are some of the thoughts that may fill an average teenager’s mind, but I am no average teen. I am a young billionaire. Please, do not mistake my words for idle talk or fictions of my imagination. The words I speak are true, and whether you believe it or not, it will happen. You see, the reason why I can stand here boldly, and say this to you, is because I crave success. I do not crave it like a person may crave sweets or sexual pleasure. No. I crave success like an asthmatic craves air to breath. I don’t think you heard me right. I said, I crave success like an asthmatic craves air to breath. Success is not something I merely seek to achieve; it is something I would die without. You can say I’m addicted. So addicted that I must read about success everyday. My long smoothly rolled blunt filled with sour Kush and purple haze……… is going on a website and reading about people who started from nothing, and became billionaires. I immerse myself in success, reading books like, “Think and grow rich,” “The secret,” and “The Master key.” I watch videos by people like Mark Cuban and Will Smith. I allow nothing, but positive thoughts to fill my mind. This may seem simple to you and you may wonder, what makes me think I’m so special. The reason why I’m special…is because I let nothing stop me from achieving my dreams. I am homeless, living under the mercy of a neighbor. There are days where I have filled my stomach, with the smell of the stores I pass on my way from school. I have spent countless nights sleeping on living room floors. I have walked for hours so that I could save a metro card in order to get to school. All the while I attend school everyday, dressed in my business attire, smiling happily from cheek to cheek. No one would ever suspect that this is the life I live. You would think that this would discourage me greatly. No. The life I live inspires me, it encourages me, it drives me. Being able to live at the lowest, and overcome it, has taught me that nothing is impossible, and that you can achieve your biggest dreams if you believe, and strive for it. Each day I wake up and smile, being thankful for the things I do have, because to me, I have plenty. I smile not only for today, but also for tomorrow, because I know it will be a better day. My situation is but a temporary circumstance that is preparing me for my bright future. This is why I will achieve success.

To my fellow classmates I think I am viewed as a serious guy determined to achieve success. In this blog post I have created a playlist of songs to introduce my classmates to who I am. My name is Vinchienso Cupidore and I am a future multi billionaire philanthropist. Dubstep to me is more than just music; it portrays the ever changing, wild and creative nature of my imagination, which allows me to have a fun view of the world. I view life as a movie in which I am the star character watching from a first person view. The songs in this list are some of the background music played in the movie as I walk on my journey to success. When I ride the train to school or work, these song tracks allow me to envision my future but also remind me of the concepts I live life by.
The first song is the Glitch Mob’s remix of “Derezzed” by Daft Punk. This song starts my day with excitement and as I listen, I feel my body become engulfed in armor to face the obstacles of the day ahead. As I walk out my front door the second song on my list begins to play “Reptile Theme” by Skrillex. This song gets me hype and ready to battle the day and fills me with confidence that it will be great. The third song is “Must be the feeling” by Nero and Flux Pavilion. This song reminds me to control my emotions and not allow my feelings to cloud my decisions. The forth song is “Everyday” by Rusko. This song reminds me that the sun shines everyday so I should be positive and happy everyday also. The fifth song is “Guilt” by Nero. This song reminds me to have faith in myself rather than always relying on others.
The sixth song on my list is “Breakin A Sweat” by Skrillex. This song allows me to think of the hard work I will do in order to achieve success and smile in anticipation. The seventh song is “Imma Try It Out” by Skrillex. This song reminds me to always have an open-minded attitude in life. The eighth song is Flight Facilities’ remix of “Crave You” by Adventure Club. This song reminds me of how much I crave success and achieving my goals in life. The ninth song is “Keep Em Bouncin” by Pretty Lights. This song inspires me to keep moving in my journey and never give up. The tenth and final song is the Skrillex remix of “Levels” by Avicii. This song makes me think of the great feeling I will enjoy when I finally achieve my goals in life. This playlist is the best way I can describe myself to my fellow classmates. I hope that after listening to it they can begin to understand me better.
