Last Blog Assignment-LeeBeth Chu
My first semester at Baruch was very eye opening. I met a lot of different people with different situations and experiences. I learned a lot from my professors and realized the kind of student I am. I learned how to prioritize better although I procrastinate often. I work weekends and dance so I have to do my assignments during the week. I am thankful that the semester is coming to an end because I finally will relax even though I am taking summer classes. I am glad I had classes with a lot of the same people because if I forgot an assignment was due or need to study and ask questions I always have someone to ask. I also met Carter and Ruben and they helped me a lot with my work and made my semester fun. Having friends there to make you laugh is always a good thing especially because life can be stressful, it was nice to have them there to make my bad days a little brighter. Since this has been my first semester I have yet to join a club but I plan on doing so if I do not transfer to Hunter.
During my first few months at Baruch I learned the importance of internships and networking. In order to be successful you need some sort of experience and I think Baruch connects you to the right people and there is always someone at Baruch that can help you with any problem. I found my self going to several different offices and always leaving with a smile during my time here. Freshman Seminar although in the beginning felt it was a waste of time actually was really helpful and made me view certain things in a different light. It motivated me to make better use of my time and make a change. I honestly have no complaints about Baruch and I actually really like the professors, students and environment. I have been to some events and I must say there is always something going on and for every kind of audience you can think of.
I know my classes will only get more and more and difficult as I progress so I am trying to develop better studying habits. Its going to take some time but I am working on it. I am excited to see where my future takes me and I know Baruch will give me all the tools I need to be successful.

My monologue
This monologue is supposed to be about this semester so far
You see I first went to SUNY Albany
The atmosphere just wasn’t for me
I was homesick after the first night
I knew something just wasn’t right
I decided to come back home, no point in being upstate
Called some schools in the city but they said it was too late
So I spent some time working and learned how to drive.
The semester off kind of made me feel alive.
I took care of a lot of things at home especially because my mom left
You see at home I am the only girl I live with my dad and my brother so my house is always a mess
So as a college student I am faced with the question. What will I do for the rest of my life? Tough question right?
You want to be happy and love what you do
But we all want that nice paycheck too.
This semester is my first semester so it’s a little challenging to balance work, home, school, family, my boyfriend and going to the gym.
Feels like I don’t have time to breath
Math 1020 was BUNK
But I got a 99 on my final though which wasn’t that tough
And let me not start about Political Science talk about boring, it is honestly a joke
Sociology is probably my favorite class
English is cool except all we do it talk about sex and LGBT
History…. Is yeah… just a lot of studying
I just need to start adjusting
My biggest accomplishment in life was being SO president of my high school
I was involved in so many clubs so you can say I was kind of cool.
Baruch is a commuter school honestly I am not a big fan
Its hard to get used to I mean don’t get me wrong its great just not the same man
Maybe I will find my place here at Baruch.
I have met some cool people like A-money and Rubinator.
Who I spend most my time in school with and will probably hang out with later
I’m not really sure how to end this so I’m just going to stop here
I really hope to enjoy Baruch a little more next year

These pictures represent me and everything I like to do. Music has always been a passion of mine. I was a singer in High School and did various performances. Music never fails me when I listen to music nothing else matters it is my only escape from reality.Tap Dancing has always been a hobby for me even though I stopped recently because school and work takes up a lot of my time. I have a picture of family because anyone who knows me knows that I love my family, my parents are my best friends and my brothers are my world. There is a picture of my High School and Baruch and that is because I love school even though I complain. Also there is a picture of people partying, exercising, and sleeping and that is basically what I do everyday. I enjoy the movies and hanging out with friends. And the picture of the two people holding hands represents my boyfriend and I who I love very much
