3rd and last Blog Assignment (by Sam Sadr Azodi)
My favorite workshop was the “stress” workshop. I liked it because it showed me how stressful person I am. Moreover, I learned different ways to reduce the stress in my life. However, even after going to that workshop, I still believe that stress is useful because it helps us to be more serious about our education, and as the consequence, get better grades. My stress level wasn’t to the point that causes me to make an appointment with a doctor, but I need to control to not get to that point. Therefore, it was like a warning for me,
To answer the second question, which was that if I could change something about this class, what would that be? My answer is “nothing”. This semester was the first semester I studied at college, so it was the strangest one for me. FRO, or being more specific, dear Kim and Crystal helped me a lot to know about different things in Baruch College. FRO was like a bridge that led me from my high school, which was much different than schools here, to this great college
I wish I could take this class one more time. Seeing the gray line, I have made two great friends, dear Kim and Crystal.
Actually, now that I wrote all these, something about this class came to mind. It would be much better if dear Crystal could add us on her Facebook so we don’t bother to add 1000 Crystals to find her. Other than that, this class is flawless.
I want to say thank you because of the great semester I spent in your class. I am sure that everyone who comes to your class misses you at the end of the semester. I wish you the bests

Who is important to me and why? (2nd Blog Assignment)
Who is important to me and why?
When I read this question, I suddenly thought of both my father and my mother. I couldn’t think of single person. Therefore, I will have two people in my response. My parents are the most important people to me. Well, this answer could be somehow a cliché, but for must of us, unless we are married, is the most reasonable response.
I am not saying that other than my parents I don’t care about other people in my life, but when I think of who is in the top of my life’s most-liked people, I see no one other than my parents. My parents are special; they go through any difficulty with no question to make my life easier, and they never look for return.
I moved here two years ago. More than any other thing, I missed my father because he had to stay for his job. He had to work to help me stay here. Moreover, he had to stay alone in order to let me have my mother with me during the first few months. Before that, my father had never been without my mother, but he decided that to save me from the homesickness that many people feel when they move to a new country. Marriage is two-way road, so my mother has gone through the same process. Having this thought in my mind makes me love them more and more every moment.
My country is not in a good situation right now. Iran has many political issues on the top of tons of other issues such as terrible air pollution, which this on its own can kill many young and aged people, and chaos all over the country because of the excruciating economy, which has made many people bankrupt. My father is aware of all these problems, but he still continues his job and stays there only to help me build and guarantee my future here although he could easily retire himself and join us here.
On the other hand, my mother has left her old mother and many friends she has in Iran just to make sure that I am having a good and healthy life here. She has come here, and she stays at home all day long cleaning the house and cooking different foods to keep me in a healthy environment so I can study and not get distracted by anything else.
I can’t just ignore all these sacrifices. Therefore my answer to this question is “My parents.” I love them more than anything or anyone in my life. I am sure that I can’t return even one thousandth of what they have done for me, but I will do whatever it takes to make them happy.

First Blog Assignment: Who I Think I AM
Hi everyone,
My name is Sam Sadr Azodi. I am 18 years old. I am from Tehran, the capital of Iran. There are few things that I would like you to know about me:
First of all, I love my parents more than any other thing in the world. I do whatever it takes t make them happy. They are the best support for me. Moving to the United States for Iranian people is really hard, not only because it’s really hard to get green card or visa, but also because the currency we have is so cheap compared to U.S Dollar, so it’s really expensive to live in such country, specially in Manhattan, but my parents have accepted it and tried to make a life for me here. I really appreciate the chance they have given me.
Second of all, I am a person of math, which means I like math more than any other subject I have studied in my life. I like it because it’s certain; there is no hesitation in it when you want to solve a problem by a formula.
Third of all,I am very happy and proud about being in Baruch. Getting accepted into Baruch was a dream-come- true for me. I promised myself and my family to use this chance in the best way possible.
Fourth of all, you might want to know what my favorite sport is; I love swimming. I used to be a good swimmer back in my country, but since I couldn’t find a clean swimming pool in New York, I stopped swimming for two years and lost my strength. Now that I am in Baruch, I usually swim two-three times a week.
The other thing that you might want to know about me is that I love technology. In Iran smart phones and tablets are useless although many people have, because there is a really poor internet access, so people can not use technology in order to add to their knowledge and improve everyday. In contrast to Iran, in the United States life would be hard without these devices and most people are attached to those devices. Technology is intended to make people’s lives easier and that’s why I like it. And as you might predict, my favorite company is Apple.
When I was in Iran, I had many friends, but moving to New York made me alone. The first few months I was always at home studying for the different tests I had to take, so it felt really bad that other than my parents I had no one to communicate with. It was really a hard time. Therefore, one of my priorities is to make a lot of friends here, especially now that I am in college.
The characteristics I mentioned above are the very basic characteristics that a person could have. I am sure that by communicating to each other, we can know much more about each other, and make the bond between us much stronger.
