Frank’s Playlist
3. Call Your Girlfriend – Robyn
10. Bulletproof Heart – My Chemical Romance
I have no idea what my classmates think about me. I love to laugh in general. I can laugh at anything, and I love to make people around me laugh, that is what makes me happy.
I listen to music in Spanish and English, but I was careful on choosing this playlist because nobody is going to understand Spanish songs. I still remember listening to “Zero” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and falling in love with the song. I do believe is one of the best songs I have ever heard and one of my favorites, every time I hear it is like the first time, and it’s the song that started my love for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. “Innuendo” by Queen just resumes what’s so amazing about Queen, and when I listen to the song it makes me feel alive, like I have no time to waste. “Call Your Girlfriend” is a party song and I love it, not because of the message of it– actually the message is pretty awful – but because of the tune, it makes me want to go to a club a dance all night. “Hyperballad” by Bjork is a good song when you are feeling suicidal (that was a joke, I have learnt sometimes you have to point out what is a joke and what’s not). I love “Push and Shove” by No Doubt ever since I heard it on their new album, I’ve loved them for a long time and that song did not disappoint. “Bounce” by Calvin Harris is a song I have danced to many times in clubs in Peru, and even today when I hear it I still can see myself with my Peruvian friends rocking it on the dance floor. “Pyramids” by Frank Ocean is a song I felt in love with when I listened to the whole “Channel Orange” album, it’s almost like a story divided in two parts, and it’s pretty relaxing to listen to. “Charlie Brown” by Coldplay is a song I don’t particularly love but it just resumes the sound I like in a Coldplay song, somehow it resumes their whole repertoire. “Born Free” by M.I.A. is a very political song and by the name it may seem like this freedom anthem every single artist has been releasing these few years, but it is more than that, and you can see that in the controversial video. “Bulletproof Heart” by My Chemical Romance just happens to be one of my favorites in the last album and that is why I thought many of you would like it.

This photo set shows my interest in sneakers. I am pretty much obsessed with sneakers, but as of recently, priorities have kicked in. I know a lot about sneakers: Prices, rarity, and demand, etc. I think this shows my love and passion for this hobby. I like to collect all types of sneakers, especially brand names. I am slowly selling off my sneaker collection, but these are a few favorites I have come across over my shoe career. I will never stop buying shoes, but it is slowly fading. I don’t do it for the love, but rather for the money now.

Welcome To My World :)
Hey guys, my name is Sherri-Nicole. I’m 18 years old. These pictures can take you on a journey through my life. I seem shy and quiet at first but I’m a fun person to be around once you get to know me. I love dancing, singing (I cannot sing!), and having a good time. I smile and laugh A LOT. I am strong-willed and determined to reach my goals. I love to travel and spend time with my family. Family is really important to me because my family has always been there for me. Through thick and thin I know if i ever need anything, I can turn to these people. Majority of the photos are of me, of course, because I absolutely love taking pictures. I take pictures of myself most of the time because I’m bored or i just like the outfit I’m wearing. I take pictures all the time so I can capture the moment. Pictures are everlasting memories. One picture that I will always keep is of my Gran-Gran. She passed away when I was a baby so all I have to remember her are pictures and the stories my mother tells me.
I am from Barbados along with majority of my family. I visit there every year to visit my father, brother, and now baby sister. I also go for Crop Over. Crop Over is a festival of history, culture and fun. Along with crop over, I also attend other carnivals such as Boston Carnival and the Labor Day Parade in Brooklyn. There are also pictures of my closest friends, I consider them family. I’ve known them for over five years and they are still close. Although they went their separate ways to different colleges, we still manage to keep in contact.
Also included are a few of my favorite artists such as Bow Wow, Rihanna, Chris Brown. My favorite movies such as Lottery Ticket, Madea (any Tyler Perry Movie), and Love & Basketball. My favorite cartoon character is Winnie The Pooh. He is so chunky and adorable. I have collected Winnie The Pooh items for years, sadly I do not have them all anymore. Last but not least, FOOD. I absolutely LOVE food. I can go on forever but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Music that I love
1. Robin Thicke- Lost Without You
2.Steve Wonder- Ribbon In the Sky
3.Get Down On It- Kool and the Gang
4.This Is How We Do It- Montell Jordan
5.Letter From A Thief- Chevelle
9.Suit and Tie- Justin Timberlake
11.Pumped Up Kicks- Foster The People
12.Ordinary People- John Legend
13.
I have no idea what my classmates think of me, Evan J. Farrell-Haigler, yet. However, this play list is pretty much filled with every genre I listen to, except rap. I chose all these songs because they each hold a special memory in my heart or evoke a certain feeling. ”Lost without you” is an awesome song and Robin wrote it for his beautiful wife. ”Ribbon In the Sky” is special to me because I know how to play this song on the piano. Piano is a big part of who I am too. If I am are ever able to utter these words to a girl, I might as well sing this song at my wedding reception. ”Get Down On It” is a CLASSIC party song and is usually played at least once at my family reunion- you know old people. ”This Is How We Do It” is also a classic party song that makes even the shyest person get down on the dance floor. ”Letter From a Theif” is my favourite song from my favourite rock band. I love Chevelle and this is the first song I ever heard from them. ”Back In Black” is such an awesome rock song. It has been played in a slew of movies- ususally to provoke a feeling of awesomess- and was even the theme song for me many of school days when I dressed in all black. ”Someone Like You” is an interesting song to me, because, the one that got away is such a cliche in the music industry, but Adele makes it new by putting her own spin on it. I think we all have that ‘one who got away.’ ”…Is the one the one that got away. Becuase men have that, and serial killers have that,” according to Adam Sandler in “Funny People.” ”Lights” is just simply an awesome song to dance to. “Suit and Tie” is an awesome song because I can relate to getting dressed up in a tailor-made suit for a night on the town. ”Dream On” is simply inspirational. I hear this song, and its like I can run a marathon. In fact, when I’m at the gym and this song starts playing on my phone, I immediately lift harder. ”Pumped Up Kicks” is a song I sometimes pop-and-lock to. ”Ordinary People” is probably how everyone feels in a relationship. ”Just Friends” is a song that I sung once at karaoke. People said I sung it well too. Its also a song that I habitually sing in the shower… I do that a lot.

Music I Listen To
1. Kanye West – Champion
2. Tupac Dear – Mama
3. J. Cole – The Good Son
4. Wale – Manipulation 2 Poem
5. Frank Ocean – Pyramids
6. Kanye West – Gorgeous
7. Kendrick Lamar – Keisha’s Song
8. Drake – Started From The Bottom
9. Musiq Soulchild – Dont Change
10. The Weeknd – D.D.
I don’t know what my classmates think about me. I’m Pascal Hannou, and most of the time I’m not what people expect. I’m a quit person, but that changes when i’m around people I know. I think that goes for everyone though. My music playlist only describes a small portion of who I am. I enjoy hip hop, that’s the majority of what I listen to. Hip Hop is poetry and I’m a fan of poetry. Rappers write poems, create beats and combine the two into something beautiful. I also listen to a bit of R&B and the occasional “pop”. I think that’s what its called. As for hip hop, the honest truth, in this day and age we live in its not the same. I love songs that have meaning to it or tell a story. Something I can reflex on. Only a few artist make music like that. Songs like “Keisha’s Song” by Kendrick Lamar or “Brenda’s Got a Baby” by Tupac which is not on my playlist speak to the listener. They inform us about certain situations in society. I also find myself attracted to songs that aren’t meaningful, they’re just catchy. I can’t help if it sounds good. I like to have fun my music should but fun too. My playlist features some of my favorite artist such as Kanye, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. The Weeknd is another good artist. He has three mixtapes which i believe he combined together to form his album. Its pretty good. Listen to the playlist, I’ll let it do the talking.

I think that my classmates see me, Jennifer Chu, as someone who is quiet and timid. Yes, I can be quiet and shy, but I am also fun and very amiable. I love music and enjoy listening to it. I listen to different types of music. What type of music I listen to depends on my mood and how I feel at the time I put my earphones on. I am a quiet person so I do enjoy listening to quiet, relaxing music. I do not like loud, ear popping music, such as rock music that is really loud, which you can’t hear the words to the song. As I said before, I am also fun and amiable so I do enjoy listening to fun music.
“Like a Star” by Corinne Bailey Rae is a relaxing, slow song and Rae has a great voice. I chose “I Do” by Colbie Caillat as one of my songs for the playlist because it is a fun, cute song. Three of the songs from my playlist are by the same artist, Michael Bublé, because he is my favorite singer. He has a great voice and when he sings a song it is very relaxing even if it is an exciting, upbeat song. The last song is “New Beautiful” by Epik High. It is a Korean song. I listen to American songs as well as Korean songs. Out of the many Korean songs I listen to I chose this song to be a part of my playlist because it has a deep meaning to it. I posted a link which has the lyrics translated underneath the song link.

To my fellow classmates I think I am viewed as a serious guy determined to achieve success. In this blog post I have created a playlist of songs to introduce my classmates to who I am. My name is Vinchienso Cupidore and I am a future multi billionaire philanthropist. Dubstep to me is more than just music; it portrays the ever changing, wild and creative nature of my imagination, which allows me to have a fun view of the world. I view life as a movie in which I am the star character watching from a first person view. The songs in this list are some of the background music played in the movie as I walk on my journey to success. When I ride the train to school or work, these song tracks allow me to envision my future but also remind me of the concepts I live life by.
The first song is the Glitch Mob’s remix of “Derezzed” by Daft Punk. This song starts my day with excitement and as I listen, I feel my body become engulfed in armor to face the obstacles of the day ahead. As I walk out my front door the second song on my list begins to play “Reptile Theme” by Skrillex. This song gets me hype and ready to battle the day and fills me with confidence that it will be great. The third song is “Must be the feeling” by Nero and Flux Pavilion. This song reminds me to control my emotions and not allow my feelings to cloud my decisions. The forth song is “Everyday” by Rusko. This song reminds me that the sun shines everyday so I should be positive and happy everyday also. The fifth song is “Guilt” by Nero. This song reminds me to have faith in myself rather than always relying on others.
The sixth song on my list is “Breakin A Sweat” by Skrillex. This song allows me to think of the hard work I will do in order to achieve success and smile in anticipation. The seventh song is “Imma Try It Out” by Skrillex. This song reminds me to always have an open-minded attitude in life. The eighth song is Flight Facilities’ remix of “Crave You” by Adventure Club. This song reminds me of how much I crave success and achieving my goals in life. The ninth song is “Keep Em Bouncin” by Pretty Lights. This song inspires me to keep moving in my journey and never give up. The tenth and final song is the Skrillex remix of “Levels” by Avicii. This song makes me think of the great feeling I will enjoy when I finally achieve my goals in life. This playlist is the best way I can describe myself to my fellow classmates. I hope that after listening to it they can begin to understand me better.

Blog Post #1 Criteria
Hey guys! Here are the details for your first blog post due Tuesday 2/19 BEFORE CLASS:
Create a 2-minute video, 8-minute slideshow or a 10-song musical playlist that represent who you think you are to your classmates. Embed your creation in a blog post and then write not more than 500 words that explains how your work speaks to who you are. There are some free tools (listed below) that you can use for this assignment, but you are free to use whatever services you like (as long as you use something that we can all access (ex. don’t make a password-protected playlist that we won’t be able to view).
Video Editors:
YouTube Editor
Image Slideshows:
Blogs@Baruch built-in galleries (just insert multimedia into the post itself)
Flickr/Flickr Slidr
Picassa
Image Loop
Musical Playlists:
Grooveshark
Spotify (<3)
Mixpod
*NOTE: You don’t have to write a 500-word post all in one shot (although you can). You can describe your motivations behind each part of your work separately or in one paragraph. Although it doesn’t need to be exactly 500 words, don’t do just 100 (because I’ll notice it). Have fun with this! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
