Hey guys! I’m Tony Shing Siu Sze and in Chinese, my name is 施承兆. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. My life is divided into many parts just like the photos in the video.
Hong Kong is known as a modern city but it’s more than. I love discovering the little known side of Hong Kong. When people go shopping and watching movies, I go hiking and cycling. When people get crazy about the night view, I am enjoying the sunset on an island. The forgotten side of Hong Kong is always shining aside the colorful, magnificent and crowded metropolis.
I have a younger brother. His name is Jayden. He was the doppelganger of me, when we were young and fat. It takes me some time to figure out which one is myself and which one is my brother in some old photos. We’ve spent 16 years together before I left Hong Kong. We sleep in the same room. We play soccer together. We share our food and thus, valuable memory together.
Soccer has always been my favorite sport. I fell in love with soccer after watching the World Cup 2002. My favorite soccer club is Barcelona and my favorite player is Xavi, who is a pass-first playmaker. In my opinion, he’s the most important part of Barcelona’s Tiki-taka.
I love food too. Since I was born Hong Kong, seafood is always one of my favorites. Also, spicy food is my craving. Last but not least, I love Hotpot, which is a Chinese dish that claimed to be invented by Genghis Khan’s Chief.
Another part of my life is travelling. To learn about a place, all methods seem futile for me except being into it. I go to travel every year but studying in New York is my first time to jump out of Asia. My most unforgettable journey is my graduation trip. I went to Taiwan with some of my best friends last July. I lie on the grass and saw the best sunset I’ve ever seen in Kenting.
Music is the most important portion of my life. It has turned my whole life around. It all started with Linkin Park. That was a time when a kid heard ‘New Divide’ and said, ‘the music is so cool.’ So on, I watched the video of ‘Bleed It Out’ and was fascinated by the drum solo of Rob Bourdon. It makes me start playing drums. I have never been that enthusiastic about something. I stopped being a video game nerd. I feel confident and energetic every time picking up my sticks. I used most of my free time practice. Then, drummer called Cobus Potgieter influenced me to put my drum covers on Youtube. I received lots of criticizes and meanwhile, supports. It was the first time for me to take others’ criticizes seriously and constructively and they push me so hard.
That’s it. Have nice day. Peace and love.
(P.S.: The video is in my drum cover channel. Check it out!)
