I initially chose Baruch because of their highly regarded business school. Baruch’s undergraduate business program is ranked among some of the most prestigiously recognized institutions across the nation, offering their students just as many wonderful opportunities, if not more, in the business realm, than any other college I took interest in. Although, my time here at Baruch hasn’t been long there’s not much I can attest to other than what I have personally experienced. For starters, reviews on any CUNY always shed a poor light upon not only their academics but their learning environments. For me, my learning environment has been nothing short, of an intellectual safe zone. The classroom has always served as a place where I could share my opinionated voice and not have to render to an authoritative figure or groups of peers, making fun of me. My time here at CUNY Baruch, has not forced me to make any changes to my normal classroom participation routine. In the mean time, I do not find my classes challenging, but I am thankful I can use this time to adjust and learn more about my college, so that I can become more active in the future. I believe with the resources and connections Baruch has to offer, my academic life will only progress for the better and I look forward to see what’s to come.

I chose the selected playlist above to represent the eclectic style I add to my peers in our community. From alternative, showtunes, to pop, rap and hip-hop I find myself listening to almost every genre because like my personality I am open to many different things. Some songs have specific meaning to me, such as those that reference my study habits, style or just love of sleep, while others reflect my family and those I choose to associate with. Sleepyhead by Passion Pit is a song I hold close to my heart and one that will never leave my playlist. I am indeed a sleepyhead. If the chance to sleep becomes opportune, you can count on me having a pillow! Another song you will find is Hey L.A. by Ryan Beatty, most of the people who know me are aware of the fact that I have an older brother that attends the University of Southern California, he constantly reminds me of the amazing time he is having in college, while being surrounded with my ideal ambiance. Although, he’s a constant painful reminder of why I wanted to go away for college, I love him to death and he’s truly my bestfriend. When I listen to this song, the up beat rythm is an example of how we are as siblings and how I hope my peers would see us like that as well. What team? Wildcats! If you’re not a Highschool Musical lover, than you’re doing our generation wrong. I chose We’re All in This Together to symbolize our section. Together as a unit we trek from class to class, in the rain, sleet or snow – taking on every day challenges of tough professors and unavoidable obstacles.
