I found the article that is very interesting and relevant to our class discussion. This article is about gender differences in leadership.
THE TOPIC OF GENDER DIFFERENCES in leadership style has been of great interest to researchers in the fields of psychology, management, and sociology, especially in recent years, as women have begun to assume more leadership positions.
There is basic disagreement focusing upon the primary question being examined-i.e., is there really a difference between the leadership styles of males and females?

The basic question of “is there really a difference between the leadership styles of men and women?” is both a simplistic and extremely valid question. When I say simplistic, I mean it in terms of an obvious but overlooked question. This article was interesting because of the numerous viewpoints it took; views from: sociology, psychology, political science, and management. I also found it interesting that the article clarifies that it is not focusing on men and women in biological terms but social gender roles within society. Most other articles that we’ve read in class or for a discussion board were based upon feminine behaviors and not roles, so the difference in perspectives amongst the many fields as well as the overall focus is very interesting to read.
