Understanding The IMF
The Weissman Center for International Business is offering a luncheon speaker series for Baruch students called “Global Governance: Ordering our World.” The series is in its second year and is being offered in cooperation with Baruch’s Political Science Department, the Global Student Certificate program and the Model United Nations Club. The goal is to help Baruch students better understand the variety of international organizations that are part of the environment for doing business internationally. The series provides students the opportunity to hear from faculty that are experts on organizations ranging from the European Union to the International Organization for Standardization and to find out about Baruch courses where they can learn more.
The fall 2014 presentation is called “Understanding the International Monetary Fund” and features Professor Myung-Koo Kang, a faculty member in Baruch’s Political Science Department. Professor Kang will talk about the structure and function of the International Monetary Fund. He will also address current events and answer questions relating to the IMF.
