From this poem, I see how the author shows he is an honest man and how he expresses his feeling to us. How to be an honest man? “And before I die wish. To fling my verses form my soul” exactly show the way. The author wants to use verses to express true feelings and shows to all readers. In fact, to be a honest man is difficult because there are so many things in the life affect you and disrupt you, such as family, money, situations and others.

I agree with what you posted here, being honest, in my opinion, is among one of the hardest things in life due to these outside factors. We can lie to everyone but ourselves, we know what will happen or has been done, so realistically we cannot erase these situations from our mind whatever they may be. I agree with what Rong posted. Honest affects by many factors, family which you don’t want to harm them, so you lie to them. We can lie to everyone exept ourselves. We know truths in our heart. Sometimes you lie because you don’t want to lose other’s trust. Honest and lie are fighting in our heart. Many factors disturb our life, and then cause to not idea life. The author expresses how he feels the outside world.
the author wrote this poem and set this honest man character to experience everything by himself instead of hear from others, so he knows everything around him. he seen by his own eyes, hear by his own ear and touch by his own hand. I find this poem in the internet and the poem has another translation “A Sincere Man Am I” basically they are the same but I think A Sincere Man Am I is more indirect just like the man in the poem.
