I agree with your post, Bartleby is depicted as a character who is disobedient. He refused to do almost everything his boss told him to do. i liked how you stated if anyone who wants to keep their job, they certainly wouldn’t be disobedient. His boss continuously asked him to participate in group meetings and reading document with the other co workers but he denied saying ” i would prefer not too”. i also found what you said interesting when you said he does not conform to the pressures of Wall Street to perform beyond their means of their job. Bartleby simply is a abnormal person and could be characterize as a ghost because of his behaviors and nonchalant attitude.
