Well, I’d like to say that the destination can be just as or even much more rewarding that the journey but then I’m reminded of those who lie, cheat, and steal their way to the top only to realize that it’s not worth the glory without the people that matter. Of course, this isn’t always the case. And for those who do find joy in the journey and reach their destination, I’m sure it’s even more fulfilling.

I thought the same thing when I saw this! It is very cute! As for its, connection to the short story “Happy Endings,” I didn’t even think of that. Yet, I can see how they relate. Atwood places an emphasis on the endless possibilities that can connect the beginning and the end of a story. I’m sure Atwood would agree that it’s all about the travel, rather than the destination!

This is so cute if this was facebook I love “like” this. I think it’s also similar to the Happy Endings story where it’s mainly about the journey that life takes you.

It does look like the car from the movie. I like the quote, “happiness is a way of travel not a destination”. I definitely agree with Goodman because, usually, the process that you go through to achieve a goal or to get somewhere is funner and a lot more interesting than when you get there. I think that if we only focus on the destination or on achieving something, we loose sight of the part that truly makes us feel happy, which is the process. Also, by only focusing on the end result, we will probably end up unsatisfied with our achievement. But, the question is, what about the destination? Shouldn’t that make us happy too?
