For future historians, the accessibility to information in general is constantly growing. With programs like Twitter and WikiLeaks, information, both valuable and invaluable will be readily available making the future career’s of historians a much more excelled processes. The perspective of the general public will be a a much broader source creating a more full conclusion in varying fields of history.
However, I am hesitant that with this new surplus of information, it is now more pressing for the historian to decipher what is useful information and what twitter posts contribute little if any significance to history at all. This new source of accessing information can either excel the goals of historians in a positive way or have their goals become exceedingly complicated and possibly irrelevant. As peter parker’s uncle said, with great power comes great responsibility, hopefully our future historians don’t get into as sticky of a situation with this “power” of information the way spider man tends to do with his.
