All our lives up till recently, everyone, (not only historians) that have needed to do research or archive, have had to stick to the traditional way. We would go through stacks of books, newspapers, etc. Historians, in order to prove their theories would have to provide evidence, which had to be tracked down in a very long and grueling process. Now, the internet and many technological advances have helped historians and others to be more time efficient in terms of going through archives and tracing back to the past; for example, twitter and wikileak. They will be definite sources of evidence.
Everything will be a lot more organized instead of, what is quoted from the Wikileak article: “How does the United States Government store its secrets? In shoeboxes?” Also, in my opinion, websites like twitter provide a more personal source of evidence since it is a minute to minute update. So as our technology advances, our ways of acquiring evidence evolves also.
