♫ New York… Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do… ♫
We are often told of the opportunities that lie in the “Big Apple”, but what ever made this apple grow so beautifully?
The renowned city of New York sits on a stone – a hard metamorphic rock that could perhaps be a metaphoric representation of the solid foundation or the solid history of this phenomenal phenomenon (Yes, a phenomenon, as this city is truly extraordinary). This rock, in addition to other natural aspects, such as the Hudson river, is still present since the time of the city’s creation. Subsequent to the era of New York City’s formation, that is, the ice age, a new era began – an era of subtropical temperatures, which resulted in an outgrowth of mammals. New York was then rid of human beings after a strike of glacier which is responsible for various rocks across the city’s landscape. These natural elements supports the city’s attractive aesthetic.
The massive strike of ice and the disruption of homo sapien’s inhabitation on the land, were all unfortunate, but fortunately helped the city to be what it is today – the “Big Apple”. It resulted in a historical change as the historical incidents left behind monuments that serve as a reminder of where the city is coming from and also serves as an attraction to those who wish to study the city’s history. The historical occurrences presented have impacted history itself, as it informs individuals of where the city is coming from which will therefore impact the path in which individuals take this city.
