When In Rome!

Everywhere you look has Roman influence.  The Spanish empire set up ‘The Laws of the Indies’ which they used on earlier settlements.  The laws presented how to construct a city.  By imposing these laws they were able to have common design throughout the cities, having the town built around a central area where trade and barter can easily be accessible.  If you take a look at a random city map you will be able to see ninety degree angles, rectangular blocks, and straight streets.
