In the Chudacoff reading the 1760s was a era that could’ve easily been mistaken for 2008, or 2009. Unemployment rates were incredibly high, high prices were another cause of depression for many people. The people weren’t able to vote and none held office in colonial cities. Now jobs were even harder to get, due to the large amount of British troops stationed in NYC , and Boston. The Solider’s were getting a raise in their pay coming from local laborers and artisans. Then historian Jesse Lemisch from the Chuadcoff reading had estimated that 3000 British Soliders that were deployed in NY, had impressed around 800 men.(31) Tons of men were later released representing the huge impact that a raid presents on any city. I feel this is very significant because it shows what a large amount of numbers can do. It also reveals how important an army is. Especially in a time where poverty is in effect.
3000 Solider’s or a bunch of Bullies ?

American Revolution does look very similar to the wars that still goes on today. New York City and Boston were horrendously affected by the British troops being deployed there because many troops kill the innocent citizens there. On a score of 1 to 10, I would believe the British troops being deployed in New York is a 7 to the change in New York history.
