     Chudacoff introduces in The revolution of American Urban society  how Colonist setup and developed urban cities. The chapters also discussed that those urban cities borne along many problems whether in south or in north. As the cities start to flourish economically  the hierarchy and status start to create a distance in society. A small group of wealthy people owns  and controlled most of local wealth.  In 1687 10% of Boston’s population controlled 45% of the taxable wealth according Chudacoff data in p17.  the overcrowding  rises because people living in houses very close to one another,  traffic cause a problem, crimes  , just to names a few problems that rises in urban cities. The European want to bring aristocratic life style with them.Spanish and Dutch  ” brought elaborate urban plans with them”(chpt1,pa). colonists had set a counterparts that creates a social mosaics that put them in distance from the surrounding countryside.  The problems had expended to racial, cultural and socioeconomic . by the early 1700s , African and African Americans were  almost as whites in numbers which indicates the vast slavery the cities endorsed.
