To me the idea to collect twits of regular people looks very attractive and helpful for further generation and historians. I see only the one problem in that case. Library of congress should systematize all information in some easy to understanding way to search “brilliants” inside the information garbage. From millions of twits only 2 or even less percentage includes some useful information, because most of the twits look like ‘@username did u read my blog ?’ Hopefully, they would find the best way to solve this problem. Most of all it would be a great opportunity for the twitter users have their twits on the same shells with Dickens, Dostoevsky and all another world literature authors. Probably, it would make users to feel like a part of the history, like a history makers. It’s a great base for social workers even in 22 century.
Plus imagine the situation, after 50 years somebody is looking for some event information. That event was happened on his grandparents time. Probably he will get some links, some newspapers articles with just journalists point of view. But new opportunity makes you find hundreds of event participants reviews.
In addition do not forget that twitter users are not only regular people, it is Hollywood stars, journalists and even world leaders. It would be interesting to know their opinions regarding some questions not only in the future but nowadays also.
