The Lost but now Found museum

I started out the online tour with the mystery game “Who burned down the museum.” The game was extremely through, I was surprised at how many mini-movies there were to each clue or item you clicked on. Unfortunately that is also why I never got to the end of the mystery because of the time constraint (and the loading speed). I had no prior knowledge of any history involving the Lost museum, and I just assumed it was like every other museum, organized by different time periods, era, country and have some sort of cohesion. It was really interesting when I clicked on the glass case to find a random clutter of items that did not go together, the online tour really let the viewer see first hand how the Lost museum looked before the fire.

Looking around the virtual tour, the archives, and the classroom I learned a great deal about the Barnum Museum. In the 19th century, the museum was place where people would go as a source of entertainment. The museum seemed creepy and unusual which was probably their main attraction. At that time period there seem to be a boom of rebellious nature, seeing sideshow “freaks” had just emerged and it public could not get enough of it. The online website gave me all the information I needed, and would be a great source for information.
