Whereas Bernstein already assumes the reader knows about the history, the website goes into more detail about the Civil war and its affects. This is a great aspect and I felt as if I should have read the website before I read the Bernstein article. That way, I would understand the concept better. Also, the language of the website is better than the language used in Bernstein’s book. The website is easier to understand and more catchy as opposed to the book which prolongs the point of the sentence by using large and unnecessary words.
The website does not really need many improvements when it comes to structure because it is very organized as it is. However, what it can work on would probably be the graphics. The Barnum Museum had a lot of great graphics when it came to maximizing the use of our senses. Through this website, we were able to hear, and see different sounds and images. I would recommend this website have some background noise and/or music to keep the readers more entertained while reading. Also, the images can be rotated. As in, there can be flashes of different images just like there is in our blog header.
