Walking Your Life Away

Since the start of life, walking has been the primary form of transportation. The Native Americans did it. The Europeans did it. And YOU did it. To date, you walk to and from class, to and from work, and to and from your room to your car. This is indeed transportation. During the Louis and Clark days, walking was the only way to get from one place to another. Sure, people used horses, but with rigged terrain, walking was almost always the only option.

Walking changed greatly at the end of the 1800’s and expanded towards the 20th and 21st centuries. First and foremost, with the induction of the subway system in 1904, walking became a transportation of the past. At first, it wasn’t common to many people. However, whenever a technology is needed to expand on a specific aspect of someones life, that technology will be used. For example, potable drinking water is needed to date. The result is a company formed by Harvey K. in Florida that cleans water. Walking is transportation of the past, the present, and the future.
