Making a website about immigration to NYC would be too broad; therefore, I would make a specific one about reasons why different groups of people came here.  All people had different reasons for leaving their homeland.  Some for religious reasons, others for political reasons.  My website would be classified in tabs with these reasons and then when clicked on one of the tabs, it will direct you to the people who left for that reason.  Also, when clicked it will have the time period they came in.  The biggest chunk of the website would be focusing on economic reasons why people chose America, since that was the biggest reason for migrating.  Lastly, I will try to incorporate the opportunities that were sought here when they came over and how it positively helped New York.  For example, Reimers states “Laboring jobs and manufactoring, which usually did not require a knowledge of English and a high level skill…rapid industrial growth characterized New York from 1815- 1880.”
