If I had unlimited budget for a website, focusing on immigration I would use a variety of of visualizations, facts,a game and a virtual tour of the whole website. I would definitely break the site up into a few different categories. Such as hardships, ethnic groups of immigrants, jobs they’ve encountered and there experience living in New York. I would want to make my website user friendly so people feel comfortable, show there friends and come back. I would also start a blog like a monthly or bimonthly one just to keep things active on the website and not fall behind.
As far as the game goes it would be a game where you can feel and experience what immigrants had to go through. At the same time it would be entertaining because you have a little person who you can create with an ethnicity of your choice and you choose different activities and things for your person to do, to succeed and better there life. It does sound like alot but i would make sure to not overwhelm the user with to much information.
