We want change!

When the Great Depression hit the cities, major chaos was created.  One of those were the rise of protests.  An uproar of protests started to rise, for numerous situations.  Some people were fighting for their jobs or homes while others were demanding social injustices such as unfair working conditions and racial discrimination.  “As early as 1930 in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, the unemployed had marched on city hall, agitation for jobs and fighting evictions….Depression-era protest gave a generation of urban resides experience with organizing that would be a frequent utilized resource in the years to come.” (Chudacoff 207)
