The 19th century did not have internet, video games, or let alone a television. Although these technological entertainments are sought by people in search of leisure and entertainment today, B. T. Barnum’s Museum was a source of leisure back in the days. Riddled with paradoxes and abnormalities, the museum attracted millions. From the online tour of the now burnt-down building, the visitors are able to grasp the idea of what existed before the tragedy. Not only was the website interactive, it was also informative.
The website’s interface, however, was not the most user-friendly of all. As a historical tool, it would be a great one for younger audience – as for historians and more mature audience, not so great. The site needs an index of a sort in order to browse through all of the aspects of the museum.
