With the depression came many conflicts among those experiencing it. Living conditions were among these many conflicts. With food scarce and money quickly slipping away for the majority of people, it was the home that most people wanted to cling to as a safe haven but soon even that was in jeopardy. Living conditions were getting worst and worst and soon construction “shrivaled into nothing”. People couldn’t afford to maintain the one place they could feel safe in and experience solitude and soon it was clear that this directly affected the day to day lives as well as their not so bright future, being filled with hard work and a significant amount of struggle.
