Although the reading and the website does not both settle on the exact same ideas about why the riots began, you can tell that they both have the same outcomes and similar comparisons. Through the website you can easily tell that the draft riots took place because people opposed the war and its effcts. Once the war started, the economy was not doing well and unemployment rates were increasing. Both were also very informative about what was going on and taking place, which is good.
But when I was on the website, it gave background information about what led up to the riots and other details. In the reading, it just jumped right into what was going on and I was kind of lost because it did not give me much background information.
