education reform…helpless?

With the recent departure of the New York City schools chancellor, Cathleen P. Black, it was apparent from the beginning that schools are in a huge need for reform. even the reception that greeted Ms. Black was not solemn but almost taken like a joke. There is a recent argument that there is no longer a way to debate for school reform. As if all the issues has come into a stalemate. For example if your support the teachers union, you don’t care about the students. But if you criticizes the teachers union, you don’t care about the teachers. Many other topics are under fire like this one but yet they all seem like a double edge sword. Somebody will lose, which would in turn hurt everybody. In the Chudacoff reading, the educational reforms that accord in the late 1800 were historical and still benefit the students and teachers of New York City enormously. It was realized that education played a big role in the development of the city socially and economically.
