The website that described the tragic events of the New York City Draft Riots had dramatic touch to the writing that had emotional component to the writing. It used imagery to create vivid imaginations in the readers’ minds for them to picture the events. Bernstein, on the other hand, was more concrete with the factual evidence and the actual event rather than the writing itself. Both sources did describe the riot in depth, although Bernstein did go into a deeper analysis than the website. The website describes the basis of the riot, the events, and the reason behind it. Bernstein analyzes the event as a historian rather than a storyteller.
